Portland homes, land, and thoughtful real estate guidance.
I’m Beth Nelsen, a Portland-area real estate broker, former documentary filmmaker, and longtime observer of how homes, land, and neighborhoods shape the way we live.
My work is rooted in the belief that real estate is about far more than transactions. It’s about transitions, community, possibility, and helping people find a place that truly feels like their own.
Originally from Napa Valley, California, I spent years storytelling through film, community advocacy, and local coverage surrounding land use, development, and growth. That experience continues to shape the way I approach my work today: with curiosity, perspective, and a deep respect for place.
I earned a B.A. in Philosophy from University of California, Los Angeles and later completed a Master’s degree in Film and Television at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. Both continue to influence the way I see the world- through storytelling, human connection, and the meaning people attach to the places they call home.
Now based in Portland, Oregon, I work with buyers and sellers across a range of property types, including residential homes, multifamily properties, commercial opportunities, land, and acreage, as well as clients navigating major life transitions such as divorce, downsizing, relocation, and aging parents. I’m especially drawn to properties with character, history, potential, or a meaningful connection to the people who occupy them.
Service has been a long time driving factor for me and I currently serve as Secretary for the Oregon LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, supporting advocacy, connection, and community within Oregon’s real estate industry.
Whether helping someone prepare a longtime family home for sale, market a piece of land with untapped potential, or find the right neighborhood to begin a new chapter, my goal is always the same: thoughtful guidance, honest communication, and a steady hand throughout the process.
Outside of real estate, I’m endlessly inspired by the Pacific Northwest landscape, Portland neighborhoods, architecture, film, community storytelling, and raising my two children.
Thank you for visiting PDX Homes and Land. I’m glad you’re here.
